"And I'll Thank You" poem

And I'll Thank You

I'm tired, tired, too tired to talk
I'm sorry babe, it's not my fault
If I kick off my shoes, it's nothing rude
Nothing 'gainst you, yo soy muy cansado
But I'm not the only one singing here
Put me to sleep and I'll thank you for it
Lullaby massage my head
Tranqualize me into bed
Thinking about what you said
Or what I said? I don't remember
Girl, you know to play guitar
Show me how you've done so far
If I fall asleep my dove
I'm not a flake, I'm just in love
And tired at that, so if you'd please
Put me to sleep and I'll thank you for it
If I snore a bassy tune
Don't kick my head, call me a fool
Grose, I do not mean to drool
Because I'm numb, the pain is numb
Sorry I'm tired, too tired to talk
Go ahead and say it's my fault
Cause I'm too tired to fight
Just lemme sleep in your arms tonight
What I'm asking, I'll make it clear
Put me to sleep and I'll thank you for it
